À skate mag is what’s left of À Propos, and will be more.
À Propos was a French skate mag I created in 2011. 23 printed issues came out and more than 1000 articles were posted on the website until the end of 2023. You will find in the ARCHIVES the ones that were OK enough to be kept (the other ones were just boring).
À Propos was a lot about me and I have to say that I’m not shy when it comes to talking shit. But to be honest, I’m also happy to highlight the magical things skateboarding can produce, problem is that people tend to just remember the ‘negative’ stuff.
Anyway, I needed a blank page, and my friend David Job offered support. Now here we go. We have stories to tell, not only about skateboarding, but at least through the eyes of the old silly skateboarders that we are. And not only in French or English. We’ll see what it brings up.
And if you’re wondering why this photo of Paul Grund (shot in 2012), I have not much explanation other than the fact that I think Paul is a nice guy. – David Tura
